Description
Position Summary:  

Responsible for overseeing the business related activities and financial results for ten Retail Banking Branches, with direct management of Branch Managers. Accountable for achieving sales goals related to new client acquisition, deposit growth, cross sell, and goals associated with the Carver Community Cash product line (check cashing, Bill Payment, Money Transfer, Prepaid Debit Card). Additionally, ensure compliance with all operating procedures and regulations.
 Provide sales leadership, and monitor and coach branch staff to goal achievement and desired behaviors.   Ensure effective performance management, through ongoing observation, feedback, coaching, and documentation of individual performance to required goals and outcomes. Manage deployment of branch resources to ensure efficiency and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction. Partner with other lines of business to maximize company sales performance and effectiveness.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Market includes 10 branches and greater than $500MM in total deposits
  • Implement and lead retail banking strategies within the market
  • Deliver on sales volumes and revenue targets in the district as agreed with Chief Retail Officer
  • Proactively engage in new business development for retail and business lending
  • Monitor competitor activities and programs, and identify product, marketing and other opportunities to share with senior management team and Marketing Coordinator
  • Manage branch network associates in the district, including career development, performance management and recognition
  • Implement a customer interaction model for excellent sales and service experience
  • In-branch coaching of Branch Managers and Bankers 4 days per week
  •  Develop district wide talent planning process
  • Serve as a community leader for the bank
  • Ownership for service levels and operational excellence in the district
  • Manage risk and compliance for branches in the district
     

Qualifications:
 

  • Five years of sales management experience required, coupled with a proven track record of developing and coaching high performance sales teams
  • Two years of multi-unit management experience preferred
  • Branch Management or other related management experience
  • Ability to build trust and credibility with customers, business partners, and staff
  • Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and influencing skills
  • Ability to effectively plan and execute sales strategy
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and handle concurrent tasks
  • Ability to make quick and difficult decisions under pressure
  • Knowledge of financial markets and economic trends
  • BA/BS required
