Position Summary
 
The Product Sales Manager - Carver Community Cash (CCC), a product line launched by Carver Federal Savings Bank in 2012, to provide  financial services to consumers in its geographic markets who are cash-based transactors. This position is reporting to the Retail District Manager, VP is responsible for a Thought leader and day-to-day Manager of Carver Community Cash, a product line launched by Carver Federal Savings Bank (“Carver”), in 2012, to provide financial services to consumers in its geographic markets who are cash- based transactors. This product line, currently provided in all of Carver’s branches, includes: Check Cashing, Bill Payment, Money Transfer (via Western Union), Money Orders, and a Reloadable Debit Card. This spring, Carver will complete a systems conversion which includes a teller platform that integrates deposit and check cashing products, thereby simplifying and speeding service delivery in its branches. Mobile technology will be added this summer. 
 
The Product Sales Manager - Carver Community Cash, is a newly created position, with responsibility for leading revenue expansion via sales, products and channels (technology and distribution network).
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Coach and direct team of Branch Managers in expanding sales of CCC product set, through identification and cultivation of key relationships (Hospitals, Schools, Landlords, and Government Agencies) and other large employers
  • Lead contact with vendors to expand products and services, including consumer credit product
  • Act as a resource for management and staff and provide technical support within area of responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act requirements including customer identification, due diligence, and transaction monitoring.
  • Manage Profit and Loss with monthly, quarterly, and annual transaction and profitability targets.
  • Develop annual business plans identifying key priorities, activities, and performance targets.
  • Manage product vendor relationships and ensure performance delivery standards are met.

  • Collaborate w/Retail District Manager & Branch Managers for new business development and sales efforts.
  • Manage shared revenue goals with Retail branches for the Carver Community Cash product line.
Qualifications:
 
  • Minimum of 5 years multi-unit supervisory experience with check cashing centers
  • Experience working with vendors (new product development)
  • Management experience, with profit and loss responsibility, in retail financial services.
  • Expert in product knowledge and retail delivery of the AFS product set and emerging technologies.
  • Prior experience in new product development, launch, rollout and vendor negotiation and management.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to engage, motivate and lead a strong team while holding employees accountable to results.
  • Ability to coach and influence team members and others outside of direct responsibility.
  • Excellent client service skills.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices that result in profit margin for the company
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, hire, and train personnel and build a winning team.
  • B.A. / B.S. preferred.
