Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Preferred Background/Experience
Physical Demands:
- Underwrite loans ranging from $250M to $5MM to business & non-profit organizations including working capital facilities, term loans and commercial mortgages.
- Ability to review financial statements, tax returns and cash flow projections as well as prepare financial spread analysis for commercial and non-profit entities.
- Process renewals, modifications, risk rating evaluations and extensions for existing loan portfolio
- Engage in client meetings and conduct site visits
- Provide information for monthly loan reporting.
- Ensure collection of relevant documentation and work product maintained in credit files
- Work with branches and other internal referral sources to coordinate pipeline opportunities
Skills needed:
- Strong underwriting skills and ability to independently understand and communicate complex credit issues and analyze credit risks.
- Proficiency and experience in analyzing commercial and non-profit financial statements, credit quality and transaction structures.
- Knowledge of credit structures and credit quality.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with business clients from various backgrounds and industries
- Ability to assist in closing loans.
- Able to participate in and process client calls.
- Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to identify cross-sell opportunities for retail bank
Preferred Background/Experience
- Bachelors Degree with an equivalent of 5-10 years of experience in an underwriting, credit analysis or lender role.
- Well developed analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written & verbal communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of bank products and services
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Broad commercial loan experience including supermarkets, Real Estate, SBA, religious institutions and health/ social services providers.
