Senior Accountant
SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Treasury department’s primary responsibility is to monitor and manage the Bank’s liquidity position. The role of the treasury accountant will be to assist in the monitoring of the liquidity position; this will include producing reports on an ongoing basis for management, the Management Investment Committee, auditors and regulators. Another responsibility will be the oversight of the investment portfolio.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee day-to-day treasury aspects of cash.
- Monitor all bank accounts to ensure sufficient funds to meet cash outflows.
- Post all treasury related transactions to the general ledger.
- Manage and account for Banks investments.
- Reconciliation of investment accounts in general ledger.
- Prepare cash flow statement and investment tables for the SEC quarterly filings.
- Preparation of the monthly liquidity reports and associated stress tests.
- Preparation of the quarterly asset/liability management analysis.
- Act as Secretary for the Management Investment Committee.
QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum)
- EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- College degree
- Experience in a Community Banks a plus
- Prior experience in Treasury accountant role a plus
