Position Summary
The Senior Operations Manager will have direct oversight for Branch and Loan Operations. The person in this role will lead the design, implementation and improvement in vendor management, facilities management and project management for core operating systems. The person should have significant direct work experience in Retail Bank and Loan Operations, and be able to direct resources around complex operating issues. Additionally, must possess the project management skills to re-engineer processes and work flows, document procedures, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and work across interdependent departmental lines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct oversight of the Branch Operations and Loan Operations groups.
- Leads the design, implementation and continuous improvement of operating systems.
- Lead contact with vendors to assess performance, negotiate contract renewals, and engage in product expansion.
- Maximizes operational performance while meeting and exceeding project and customer expectations.
- Interacts regularly with project leadership team to ensure operational priorities are aligned with mission, vision, values and division objectives.
- Ensures broad strategies are translated into specific objectives, metrics and action plans.
- Provides guidance, direction and development for directors, managers and operations team.
- Minimum of 8 years operations management experience
- Must understand business objectives as they relate to project goals.
- Prior experience in new project development, launch, rollout and vendor negotiation and management.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to engage, motivate and lead a strong team while holding employees accountable to results.
- Ability to coach and influence team members and others outside of direct responsibility.
- Excellent client service skills.
- Knowledge of industry best practices that result in profit margin for the company
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- B.A. / B.S. preferred.
